Whetstone Flattening Stone

The Whetstone Flattening Stone by Seki Magoroku. The flattening stone is used to restore the surface of your whetstone after sharpening, ensuring it remains perfectly flat and level for efficient use during future sharpening sessions.

Using Your Seki Magoroku Flattening Stone:

• Before use, soak both the flattening stone and whetstone in water for 10 to 20 minutes.
• Gently move the ridged side of the flattening stone back and forth across the surface of the whetstone until it is perfectly flat.
• Next, use the ridged side to lightly round the four edges of the whetstone to prevent cracks and reduce the risk of injury.
• After use, rinse both stones with water, wipe off excess moisture, and allow them to dry completely before storing.
