Norman Clark
Norman Clark was one of the worlds top carvers. Professionally carving since 1967 Norman exhibited world wide in many top museums and art galleries.
Born Tauranga in 1942, Norm grew up exposed to Maori Art. He arrived in Marlborough in 1959. He spent eight years as a aircraft engineer and was one of New Zealands longest standing progessional craftspeople with over 45 years experience.
His carvings were exhibited and sold around the world, notably as part of the landmark Te Maori exhibition in New York in 1984, and his pieces were often given as gifts by New Zealand diplomats travelling overseas.
