Often seen perching in flocks, the Warou or Swallow is a small and elegant bird with a quiet call and a rapid, graceful flight pattern. Appearing in large numbers with the early days of warm weather, they are often considered to be the harbingers of spring. Although they are migratory in other areas of the South Pacific, the Aotearoa population appears happy to call our wetlands and coastal environments home all year around. They are believed to bring happiness and luck to a household and symbolise protection to a family and leaving the past behind.

This stunningly crafted cast glass Warou/Swallow is created by the incredible glass studio, Luke Jacomb Studio. It has a screw in the back so it can easily be screwed directly into your wall. Looks beautiful alone or as part of a collection.
